News App UI

I have used Adobe Xd to create these screens for 'Newshub', which is a news app concept.

▪️ After a careful consideration of the app's target audience and their needs, the goal was to create an intuitive and engaging experience that allowed users to easily discover, access, and consume news content. The concept required an understanding the core functionality of the app, such as browsing news categories, searching for specific topics, and personalising content preferences. This helped in determining the key features and navigational structure of the app.
▪️ An emphasis was placed on creating a visually appealing and consistent design language that ensured readability of the news articles. Clear typography, appropriate color schemes, and visual hierarchy were essential in guiding users through the app and drawing attention to important news elements. Considering the limited screen space on mobile devices, the key news articles and headlines were given prominence, with concise summaries and appealing imagery to grab users' attention.
▪️ The user can see live updates from the top section and manually switch between the tabs below, to see content tailored to the option selected. The user can easily navigate to home tab which has all the globally curated content, the location based news, as the name says has the news tailored to user's location, bookmark tab has all the articles user has saved and the profile tab has the various options that he can toggle between.
▪️ Users are provided with options to save articles, share them on social media, or explore related content for a seamless and immersive reading experience. In terms of usability, intuitive navigation and interaction patterns were employed, allowing users to effortlessly navigate between different sections, access settings, and customise their news preferences. Thoughtful use of gestures, such as swipe gestures for article browsing or pull-to-refresh for updates, would probably enhance the overall user experience.
