Kafka | Ty-Photography

Franz Kafka's short story Metamorphosis is a story of transformation both physically and mentally for the novel's main protagonist.
Kafka use's metaphors and allegories to describe the machinery of social and emotional content. So twisted and dark is his style he has coined his term for this format of writing and representation ' Kafkaesque'

The part editorial part photographic essay, this piece of work reflects the themes of unhappiness and a true desire for change in the monotony of the nine to five existence.
Employing a strong link to the 'Kafkaesque' style and using an appropriate format to follow the function and content, I have created a newspaper documenting the nightmare of everyday existence.
