New concept for Slack
Recently we spent a day to quickly prototype a new concept for Slack navigation system on mobile. From 5 tabs to a seamless single-page experience. Here are the 3 main changes:
① Quick jumps
— One home screen + modals. Tap to open the pages in modals. Swipe left to view details. Swipe down to return home.
② Quick search
— All shared files, bookmarks, pinned messages and people in one place. Organised under “Most recent”. Filter with Search. Swipe down to return home.
③ Quick catchup
— All new mentions, messages and threads in one place. Reply inline. Swipe down to return home.
