SEA Kraken - NHL 32 - logo(s) Concepts No. 1A

What happens when a graphic designer with 20+yrs. of experience, who also happens to be a passionate hockey / die-hard Penguins fan hears the news that Seattle is FINALLY being awarded a NHL franchise?

He spends the better part of a year trying to figure out what this new team will be called and starts to brainstorm several ideas. With the help of family & friends, I was able to set out on a handful of adventures in 2019 across the PacNW, exploring a range of both urban and remote areas. This culmination of experiences left me w/more than enough ideas & inspiration, so I set out in pursuing my dream goal of creating a NHL logo / team identity.

Disclaimer: I have no idea or confirmation of what the NHL Seattle team will be called. Nor have I been approached by anyone within this organization to work on this. I’m simply pushing myself creatively and hoping that my end result, will be of the caliber and quality that might garner the appropriate attention (ahem, this means you NHL Seattle).
