Plastic in our oceans, poster 1

The overuse of plastic is having a negative effect on this planet, be it plastic bags floating through the streets, stuck on trees, or the major effects this type of rubbish has on wildlife. My aim with these illustrations was to illustrate how plastic has an the issue without being too graphic.

Last year a young whale washed up on the beach in the Phillipines, though prior to the authorities were made aware of the whale which had been spotted looking very unwell. The whale was later opened up for a necropsy, which revealed that the animal had more than 40 kg (88 pounds) of plastic in its belly.
