Dicks Inn Popup Bar Branding

Dicks Inn is a result of a love for cocktails, play and fun, put on by Meg "Dick Lewis" and me, Rogie "Dick King". It's something we've talked about for years, but never really settled down to actually make happen. When Meg and I hang out, we love sipping on weird and themed cocktails and attempting our best midwestern or southern accents. We role play fun characters and make backstories and introduce ourselves at conferences as those people. It's so much fun!

One inspired day, we thought, what if we brought this experience to others? With my experience in bartending in the past, this could be a breeze! We could bartend and make strange themed drinks and a whole backstory as if this pop-up bar has been around forever! Um, yes plz!

But wait, we're designers...we need to have menus! If we have menus, we have to have uniforms! And hats! And bring everyone into the experience with their own name tags! Of course, it couldn't be any other way!

The result was Dicks Inn, ran by two fictional Dicks that met each other at the 1956 Rod & Ring showcase. Dicks Inn was born and pulled off at Design Haus in Washington a few months ago and we think it went just swell. We bartended. We accented. We lit drinks on fire. We lived. We laughed. They loved!
