Color Blind Testing on Prototype

I've been super excited to be working on this project lately. It's called Vocable, and it's meant to help people with disabilities or limited mobility communicate with loved ones and/or caretakers via head tracking or touch.

We set a goal to make our app AAA compliant so we needed to test our color choices with forms of color blindness. I found it helpful to simulate our colors using a Figma plugin called "Color Blind" and put it on a 3d device using an app called "Rotato". I added some fake glare and rotated the device while cycling through the color blind color schemes to test those in outdoor situations.

There are devices out there that do something similar but they're really expensive (think $10,000 +) or the apps usually cost money or contain ads. This app will be FREE, no ads, and open source.

I'm super lucky to work at a company like Willowtree Apps that values apps like this and I can't express how much I respect a company making the choice to spin up an entire project team to do some good in the world.
