Amabie is a mythical scale-covered creature from the sea that prophesies about upcoming harvests and potential destruction from disease. In the case of a pandemic, the legend states that people are supposed to draw the Amabie and share it with everyone who is ill. I joined with artists the world over in drawing this Amabie to (symbolically) ward off COVID-19.
