I started this a few weeks ago while still blissfully ignorant of the COVID-19 related events unfolding and ended it in the midst of everything. Halfway through I started appreciating feeling a little more connected to the rest of the world through the source images I was collecting, and also realizing how many of these landmarks were probably closed to the public indefinitely.

It was an exciting experience finding ways to translate the intricate natural and architectural beauty I saw in the photos into a simplified illustration. I hope you enjoy them!
