Project Kumi

I partnered with Project Lucas to create a sub-brand that would introduce and support one of their new donation programs. Project Lucas is a ministry-oriented organization that provides sponsorship and support to children in Kenya.
Project Kumi is an initiative asking donors to support the Project Lucas Center in Kenya by donating 10 dollars a month. Kumi actually means 10 in Swahili and was the starting point for the program.

Everything that I created for this initiative was intended to compliment what already existed as the brand for Project Lucas. I used gold to play well off of of their original black and red. I also integrated the "Africa Hand" from their logo. The idea behind Project Kumi was to target a younger audience and that's where I felt like a bold and creative typeface with lots of personality could go a long way!

A thank-you-shirt was considered as an idea for the program. The first image is of the custom lettering that I created to be paired with the logo mark for a t-shirt. The idea that drove the lettering was that "because He first loved us, we love others."

The final image shows a series of social media graphics to track the goal of the program. The goal was to reach 100 donors.
