Jungle lllustration

This is a detail of my black-and-white pencil illustration of a lush rainforest. It is complementary to my other detailed forest drawings and reflects on my fascination with tropical plants, trees and patterns inspired by nature.
It features all kinds of exotic plants interwoven to a dense foliage, amongst them Monsteras, palm trees, Banyan trees, lianas, ferns and lichen. Hidden amongst the canopy are various rainforest animals, such as a jaguar, a chameleon, lizards, different birds, beetles, parrots, tropical butterflies, snakes, boas, as well as a monkey and a tarsier.
