Women Empowerment Poster

A poster designed to appreciate determination and tolerance of women in patriarchal societies, especially in Pakistan.

The woman in the poster is surrounded by some of the most common labels* society puts on her and her condition depicts how much she is struggling. The determination in her eyes shows a different story. She is motivated to keep trying, to keep progressing "Barhna Hai Mujhe". The hand at the upper right corner is a metaphor of opportunities** that can pull her out of the stigmas society associates her with. Despite being ill-treated, the woman is fearless and strong.

*Labels include ugly, dark/black, fat, manly, cursed, stupid/illiterate, rebellious, divorced, ill-mannered etc.

**Opportunities include education, awareness, hope, freedom, rights and equality.
