Whilst working on a recent design at Obox Themes, I wanted to switch up a little layout for the normal and usually generic single blog template.

By adding a little intro excerpt to each single item it gave the reader a quick and deeper insight in to the article after reading the title, accompanied with the feature image.

99% of folk also like the ability to have a sidebar which remained and sat just under the new excerpt area.
