A note on the animation

The entire animation (seen in its entirety at the link above) was created with Apple's latest version of Keynote. If you're a designer looking to quickly create animations or communicate interactions you should give Keynote a try. It's extremely intuitive, surprisingly powerful, and won't take long to learn.
