Designed for Victory

I've always found that the war years were an amazing time period for graphic design. Bold, colorful, and incredibly simplistic designs communicated messages across a variety of mediums to inspire entire nations.

I've started a new project called "Designed for Victory" on Instagram that documents actual pieces from that time period and focus on both historical and design relevance. If you're interested, check it out at https://www.instagram.com/designedforvictory/

To give credit where credit is due, eagle design on the left is heavily based off the “Ships for Victory” design created by Mark O’Dea in 1942.
