More from the ray project! Here are 3 variants of the intro animation. The first one is the one we settled on.

The most important thing i had in mind when designing these was the fact that we're dealing with an ecommerce website. On an ecommerce website i don't want to have a lot of long animations because we can deal with a lot of customers visiting multiple times. People mostly check the website and products a couple of time before they actually buy so i don't want them to go through longer animations and interactions.

That's the main reason why this website intro is really short, but at the same time it gives the website that extra layer that will give the user a bit of delight and a more experience vibe on the website of it being bland.
