Mechanical beast

When medieval cartographers wanted to mark an unexplored point on their maps they drew a monster and wrote "Here are dragons" (Hic sunt draconis). When I created the cover of Altair magazine I was clear that I wanted to include a nod to this and the spark arose when I read that on the coast of Africa there is a point from which Google Maps bots index their maps. That's where the unknown is in digital world
