Weirdtober 012/031: Aquaman, “No time to talk. Spread the word. Justice is coming.”
Aquaman! You all thought I was only a Marvel geek? [Probably didn’t necessarily cross anyones mind, but anyways], nope! Love ‘em both. Now, I was raised more on DC as a youngin’. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman. 100% loves. Then I discovered all the X-men comic books and dove deep into their stories, and although the past 10 out of 12 have been Marvel, that’s only because those are the ones I randomly chose. [And, yeah, it may have been a big Disney/Marvel/Extravaganza today, but there’s always room for even more nerdy things].
Had to illustrate Jason Momoa’s movie Aquaman with his luscious hair, I 💖 drawing hair 😊 [and, hey! Don’t forget about the first live-action AM! Smallville geek-fan here 😊 – and of course, Alan! 💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️]. My second choice for a quote was “Something Something Trident.” Because that’s the kind of dumb humor I do appreciate slash it’s definitely what I’d say.
I didn’t animate again – but I did show a flat color sketch version along with the simple-shaded sketch version, too. Liked ‘em both!
My Weirdtober definitely has distinct sketched looks to me 😅 The initial three that I rush through, then the one that I really took my time on, then one the I was semi-fast one, then three that I totally had time for, another quick, and two with a bit more time, and then this one with a lot more time since I’ve got a few days off 😊 Hey, I’ve got range! 😅
