Wave Money card prototype

A small case study of dev hand-off

This prototype shows adding a business name (or any name) to a card during onboarding for a new product offering, Wave Money, a business bank account for small business owners.
Facebook Origami prototyping allows for this basic level of fidelity — text input, which I am reluctant to call "High Fidelity". Not as a slight to Origami, but to other prototyping tools out there that simply cannot do basic things like real keyboard input logic at all.
This level of fidelity in the prototype allowed better understanding of how the experience is supposed to be, compared to static mocks-ups or what I call "static screen prototypes" to try and simulate typing and live feedback. While these types of interactions can be documented in detail all over your Figma file, they don't translate well to output in my experience.
The developer can have a working prototype on their real device, and take it with them anywhere they go. They are not reliant on a wifi connection or any other tether.

You can also see a screen recording of the output for reference.

Happy prototyping ✌️
