Texture in Illustrator

Lately, I've been working on my distressed texturing in Illustrator. I've found these two tutorials to be really helpful. First, I start with this roughening technique, then move to adding this stamp effect from @DJ Sherman. Be prepared for little tweaks to dial it in the way you want.

Tip: When you have different strokes of an illustration or varying weights of type, do the effects separately as the heavier ones will require different settings than the lighter ones to make it all look cohesive.
