Wolf Suits

I'm in the process of developing line illustrations/icons for a deck of cards. I've translated the classic suits (hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades) into the faces of wolves.

I'm still refining and looking to find the balance of detail vs. simplicity, and wolf vs. suit. I would love some feedback on the forms, and how I'm finding those balances. I'm also concerned that they're coming off a little too "adorable," rather than fierce wolves. Thoughts?
