Crows Over The Grove

Now this was trip of a painting. This painting started out really loose and free with these shapes and drips. I had a vision of where to take the painting, but my wife encouraged a different direction with this painting. So I left the looseness of the painting and there it sat for a couple months while working other paintings. Eventually, I came back to this and added the visual story of the crows flying over this grove of trees. I feel like I can do more paintings in this vein, but these paintings just happen organically and not anything that I can truly plan for. Yay for intuitive painting!
