Design Acronym (Design is...)

I wanted to do a different take for this playoff entry, so I decided to create an acronym of the word 'design.'

D - diverse
There are all kinds of design being done by many different people that all come from different backgrounds. Design is diverse.

E - everywhere
Design is everywhere. We see it in on billboards as we drive down the street. When we sit down on our couch and watch television, it’s visible on the commercials, advertisements, and even the actual television is designed. It is all around us and it stimulates and motivates much of our decisions subconsciously every day.

S - simple
Good design is simple. Dieter Rams said, "Good design is as little design as possible. Less, but better – because it concentrates on the essential aspects, and the products are not burdened with non-essentials. Back to purity, back to simplicity."

I - innovative
Let's quote Dieter Rams again :) "The possibilities for innovation are not, by any means, exhausted. Technological development is always offering new opportunities for innovative design. But innovative design always develops in tandem with innovative technology, and can never be an end in itself."

G - growing
Design is growing and becoming more important in our society today. It's a great time to be a designer!

N - needed
Design is needed everywhere. Good design that is.
