We're Still the Kids We Used to Be

I always loved this lyric from Kanye West's song "Ghost Town".

I remember when I was a kid I used to think a lot about what being an adult would feel like. All the grown ups seemed so put together and different from me and my friends and that made me wonder how and when the same would happen to us.

What I didn't know was that, even though you might have more responsibilities, nothing magically changes when you're an adult. I like to believe I'm still the same person I was when I was 10. I have a lot of the same interests; same internal conversations and same curiosity about life. The difference is that I was able to figure out some of the answers to the questions I had back then and replace them with new ones.
