Meet in the Middle

I initially drew this on the way home from an evening of live music that led me to think about what it meant to meet in the middle. Over 5 years later, I still come back to it and even though its seen many iterations, I'm doubtful this will be its last.

I still think about venn diagrams a lot.

This time, I was reminded of a speaker who used venn diagrams in a number of presentations I had the opportunity to attend at different points in time. Except the venn diagrams never overlapped.

These were just circles.

To circle dates on a calendar, errors on a page or words within a book emphasizes its contents. However, this effect is lost when all lives in circles.

Even if one space nearly eclipses another, its distinctions are just as pivotal to the identity of a venn diagram as its intersections. This illustration highlights the commonalities between hands that stand apart from one another.
