After 8 rounds of concepts we (Goodyear, Cotton Bowl and Pytchblack) landed on this beauty of an illustration. After a year of sports with no fans, the direction shifted. Instead of intense sports imagery and textures, we looked into a joyful and more celebratory concept. One that embodies the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the 86th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. But also invites fans into enjoying it in person at AT&T Stadium once again.
