Remarkable Ukrainians / Mariia Raievska-Ivanova

We came together as a group of Ukrainian illustrators and made up an idea of creating a project about remarkable people of our country. We want to show how rich the Ukrainian culture is.

The person I chose is Mariia Raievska-Ivanova was born in the Kharkiv region. She is a Ukrainian artist and teacher. Mariia had become the first officially recognized professional woman-artist in Russian Empire. Also, Mariia opened the first Ukrainian school of drawing and painting in Kharkiv.
