Hello everyone🖐️

It became and extreme blocker for pharmaceutical companies to generate unique QR code for their product after the Indian government has made it mandatory to put QR codes on packages of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) used in medicines to curtail the menace of counterfeit and substandard drugs in the country.

Our agency was approached my many pharma companies and were taken to develop a software that could automatically generate the QR code for their products.

Client - GenCode

Deliverables - Mobile App, Web/Admin panel - The main challenge we faced was to deliver the product in a limited time span of 1 month (Design + Development ).

Problem - There were no products in the market at that point of time that were being used by the major pharmaceutical companies on a daily basis and that too on a large scale. Our main challenge was to make the software easier and accessible to use for the non-techie people. Not only the product should generate QR but at the same time it could also be used for additional purposes like storing the database of the medicines and altering the content like salts, volume in mg, product name, description etc.

Solution - As we were one of the first to build a product like this, we relied more on the User personas rather than the competitor analysis of the other products in the market. We started of making a roadmap for the whole project defining the problems and crafting solutions that included multiple steps through the process.

We broke down the process into the following steps:-
