Reimaging the Carbon Cycle Graphic

These are work-in-progress mock-ups (not a polished, final product).

The ask: I worked with a design firm (on behalf of their client) to reimagine how the carbon cycle evolution could be visually communicated — in way that feels less 'fifth grade science textbook' and more sleek, stern, and sophisticated.

The work: I mapped out all of the components of the carbon cycle, and then worked through a few different style approaches, each varying degrees of 'minimalist' and 'infographic.'

The carbon cycle graphics have transparent backgrounds so they can be overlayed/used in different presentations. So, I also created a minimalist background depicting air, land, and sea for an example of how these graphics might look in a deck (see below).

Please note: Ultimately, this project was sidelined — so these graphics are not finished. I created all of the graphics in this collection, but the brand guidelines/ basic color palette were determined by the design firm.
