Kiliaro - Case Study

Kiliaro is a social photo gallery app on a mission to give everyone the smoothest way of storing and sharing memories

Objective

Refactoring an application that lets the users share their photos and videos in a private environment.

The Research

What percentage of photos do you end up sharing with others?

After doing research about this question I found out that most of the users share less than 10% of their photos with their friends!!

So it might have many reasons but having an application to share photos and videos in a private and organized way, may help to increase this number, as the number of taken photos is really high!

Event Sharing!

Yes, after reviewing and brainstorming with product owners and user research we came up with this idea! but how does it work?

After finalizing the wireframe of event sharing I started working on the visual side:

Socialize

We wanted to add the socializing feature to the app to allow users to socialize on different photos and videos.

I had 2 ideas in mind so I started designing them and doing an A B Test and then we decided to choose the best approach.

Here are the designs:

Then we did user research with 20 random users and we calculated the results based on

- User feelings

- Time of decisions

Result

Average time of decision:

A: 5.6s

B: 6.2s

But, 78% of users liked the B version and said they got a better feeling about it, also the B version showed the full-size image but in A you had to tap on the image to see it in full size and it was 2 steps!!

So I decided to design a prototype for the version B as you can see:

Done!

I hope you like this Case study and could give you good inspiration, please let me know your awesome feedback.❤️

Thanks.
