01. printmaking WIP

In progress screen-grabs from procreate, working with some new brushes. Working on those trees on the left to get them to sing like the right. Sometimes it can feel immeasurably hard to match an objects likeness, and other times it's amazing at how little mark making you really need to do in order to give it shape and light. I will always favor the actual carving process over our screens, but using my ipad has really helped me practice relief/reductive illustration so much quicker, and with less of a 'fail' ultimatum, or a feeling that I've wasted material. Hoping to take these to the block once all is laid out!
