O is for Ouch! Bubble Gum, next in the 90sNibbles series. I don’t remember the taste, but I absolutely loved the design of those Ouch! tins. Made to look like a package of band-aids, which back in the day came in tins, the gum was a novelty I had to have. The gum strips were even wrapped to look like individual bandages. My 90’s kid brain thought that was SO COOL! I kept the tins for such a long time to hold my trinkets, like my Pog and key chain collections. I don’t know where the tins went but I still have my key chains from back then.

There is very little information out there about Ouch! Bubble Gum. All I know is that it is made by Wrigley under the Hubba Bubba brand name. The surprising thing I found was that Wrigley is owned by Mars who also owns so many random foods like 3 Muskateers, Galaxy Bars, Dove chocolate, Combos, and even Pedigree and Whiskas pet foods.

I will admit, this is the last of the bubble gums for this series. The 90s was the era of bubble gum, so it was hard to leave some of those on the cutting room floor. Favorites include Bubble Yum, Bubble Beeper, Bubblicious, Bubble Jug, Bazooka, Big League Chew, Fruit Stripe Gum, and Bubble Locker. The list goes on and on.
