Brooklyn Nets—Logo Update Proposal
Since moving to NYC, I’ve felt that the Brooklyn Nets logo—while recognizable—could use a bit of love. On the surface, the old design has a vaguely hip, minimalist appeal, but the details suffer when the mark is rendered at a small scale or reproduced in applications like embroidery. The old typography appears dated and distorted, and it occurred to me that the B could be better integrated into the basketball to give the mark a more unified, unique, refined aesthetic. I decided to explore what a brand evolution for the team might look like and how it would better position them for the future.
