„Blisko” app

About the client

AMM Systems sp. z o. o. is a company which creates IT systems and mobile apps for public administration and other subjects providing services to residents of Poland. Among its services the company offers a citizen information system, which includes the „Blisko” app. A significant service sector is also solutions for waste management, directed at local governments.

About the product

The „Blisko” app serves as a method of communication between local governments and residents. It is a part of the SISMS System, which was produced by AMM Systems. The main senders in the system are cities and municipalities, but also Crisis Management Centres, municipal plants, libraries and even parishes. Users of the app can read the latest local news, check the current waste collection schedule for their address or find information related to waste management and air quality. The user themselves decides from what senders they will receive the messages.

Challenges

The application has many different functionalities. The challenge was to simplify the path of a user in comparison to the app’s previous version and redesigning it while taking WCAG standards into account. In this project I was in charge of redesigning the app, research, creating mockups, redesigning information architecture, as well as ux and ui design.
