Serve and Return

An animation from Sparks, a series of 14 parenting videos we worked on recently.

This one was created to illustrate what happens during serve and return interactions, one of the first ways babies communicate with the adults around them.

"Think of it like playing a game of catch; you throw the conversational ball, than wait for your partner, in this case your baby, to throw it back to you.

You don't just throw a second ball without seeing what happened to the first one."
