Wyrmwood Falls

A drawing I created for the Boss Rush exhibition at the Light Grey Art Lab in Mpls MN. I was reading Paradise Lost at the time I was working on this piece, and began to draw parallels between the book and the Super Mario games. Envisioning the fall of the Morning Star, as if it was Bowser being cast out of the Mushroom Kingdom into the Underworld, where he would eventually grow in power and shape the world around him.
