Easter: Why Jesus Appeared to the Women - Editorial Illustration

An editorial illustration, used as a header image for our “Word by Word” blog at Logos. This article was focused on the historical and cultural context that made Jesus appearing first to women after his resurrection so significant.

Our illustration style is all about shapes, diagramming, and a halftone paper feel, so simplifying big concepts and putting these together is always a fun puzzle.

I also really dig the clean version of this one, without the stroke elements (below).
