Case Study - Hiring Platform

Introduction

Hireus NG is a platform that connects professionals and artisans with people needing their services. As a UX designer, my objective was to create a user-friendly app that simplifies the process of finding and hiring professionals and artisans. I employed a human-centred design approach to bridging the gap between Hireus NG's target users and the app's features to improve accessibility, usage, and overall user experience. This case study will highlight my design process, problem-solving abilities, and UX design skills in creating the Hireus NG mobile app.

Problem Statement

Problem Statement: The existing process of finding and hiring professionals and artisans is cumbersome, time-consuming, and frustrating for both parties, leading to limited accessibility and usage of professional services. The challenge is to create a user-friendly mobile app that simplifies this process and improves the overall user experience, while bridging the gap between artisans and users through a human-centered design approach.

Research

Given the timeline constraints of the project, we were unable to conduct an in-depth research phase. However, we still made efforts to understand the needs and pain points of potential users by speaking with a few individuals who could potentially use the platform. Through these discussions, we were able to identify some key features and functionalities that would be important to include in the app.

In addition, we conducted a competitive analysis of platforms that are directly or indirectly similar to Hireus NG in the market, such as Uber, Bolt, Chores NG, and Wrkman. This helped us to identify the unique features that these platforms offer, as well as the areas where Hireus NG could differentiate itself and provide additional value to its users. Based on these findings, we developed design principles that we used to guide our design decisions in the subsequent phases of the project.

While we would have liked to conduct a more thorough research phase, the information gathered through these efforts provided us with a foundation for the design process that followed.
