Making humanity healthier one meal at a time

I'm proud to announce that the startup that I've been working at since the start have just raised $17m in our Series A allowing us to expand outside of San Francisco and further our mission of making humanity healthier.

Over the past two years my role at Zesty has been fairly hands on. Faced with tough creative challenges both on and off screen, my duties have spanned from everything from web and mobile to film production/directing to photography and various other non-digital challenges. My big focus throughout this process has been on completely rebranding the company to fit with our ever growing image of making humanity healthier. This meant breaking out of the realms traditional tech companies and putting greater emphasis our physical service/product that we offer.

During the initial stages of this experience my focus was moved away from the usual design focused areas I had specialized in earlier in my career. Playing a key part in defining the companies operations and logistics that now effects the way we operate today. This all came about when we pivoted from our original idea of building an iPhone application to allow people to order healthy food on demand in the consumer market to now feeding the majority of San Francisco's top tech companies in the corporate market.

Even with the highs and the lows and the daunting feat of moving half way across the globe to work on an idea, seeing how far we've come over this rollercoaster of a journey has been great and its stretched me to become better as a person and as a designer.
