New York Art Week Map
NY ART WEEK GUIDE BY CULTURED MAGAZINE + ARKIVE
Arkive was very present at this years Art Week in New York and because of that we made a guide together with Cultured Magazine. This 3D map worked as a graphic for this map and was made to highlight each location as needed.
How it was made
The render was made with Cinema 4D, where I created individual renders for each pin selected, to account for the reflections given off by the colored glass. Each layer was then taken to Photoshop for refinement and adjustments, before it was then taken to After Effects for animating. The entire thing was made in a high enough resolution (9000 x 6000 pixels) for us to zoom in and out and navigate the focus area around interactively.
The 2D map was made with Mapbox Studio, where I created a custom style and exported high-ress PNG's of the areas that I needed.
