My task was to select an international metropolis and give it a fresh visually dynamic identity.

Why Havana?

Havana boasts a rich history and culture, making it a visually dynamic city. From it's colonial architecture to it's vibrant music scene, Havana provides plenty of inspiration for making a visual identity. The city's colorful street art, salsa dancing, and live music makes it a hub of creative energy.

Concept

Painted text on wooden signs and buildings is my way of representing Havana, combining tradition with a dynamic touch. The backdrop of where the logo and others text will be is endless.

Painted wooden signs and bulding are a recognizable and distinctive feature of Havana, and they help to create a sense of place and identity for the city.

Dynamic element

The dynamic element comes into play with the different wooden signs and materials for the backdrop. The material is being reused so no sign is the same and over time the paiting and the material will change. That makes the identity feel like it's living and breathing.
