Label or Icon?

Icon, text or icon with text？is still a great debate, and seems it will never stop.

The compromise is combine the icon and text label.

Mobile devices with touch screen has not hover state, and extra option which can let user make choice between "Icon only", "Text only" or "Icon with Text" seems too heavy for mobile App. So that is the problem. And here is a little concept to slove it, inspired by Reed for iOS. But this concept still has many problem, it is too noticeable to catch user attention.
