"Persian Witch" Skateboard Graphic - Illustration

"Persian Witch" aka "جادوگر ایرانی"

This project, titled "Persian Witch," involves creating skateboard graphic designs for TSIXTY, the first skate shop in Tehran, at the request of its owner, Alireza Ansari.

As a fan of Persian icons and skateboard culture, Alireza challenged me to combine these two elements in my designs with a specific request for a design featuring a Persian witch or "جادوگر ایرانی."

To bring this concept to life, I worked to blend Persian cultural elements with skateboard graphics, resulting in a unique and eye-catching design. In the following section, I'll share more details about conceptualizing and executing these designs.

For my inspiration, I used a black Chador, which is a traditional garment worn by some Muslim women, featuring a flower pattern. I also incorporated an old basket called "Zanbil" into my work.

Typically, the "Zanbil" basket is utilized for purchasing groceries. Still, in this design, the witch repurposes it to carry items such as eyeballs, witchcraft books, and poison, adding a touch of dark and unconventional elements to the plan.
