3D Gym Designer App
As the team lead, I coordinated this project between internal departments, remote stakeholders, and the development team for the 3D Gym Designer app. Reviewing iterations of the app in the agile design sprint process provided insights into current concerns and future needs. Keeping the reps on budget was NO small task! As a cost-saving measure, the engineering department exported 3D models, and I jumped into Blender to color the models being delivered to the development team.
Success and a learning opportunity.
The project was successfully launched! The team worked through the project smoothly. When I picked up this project after another team member's departure, I gained experience with Sketchup along with another cross-functional group.
Through the process, I learned that a Sketchup subscription could have staged and laid out the majority of the sales team's needs and possibly had more sharing functionality. Had the hierarchy of communication not been siloed, the different teams could have shared input, saving the company development costs.
