Nike Kobe 10 "Commander"

Last summer while interning at Nike I had the opportunity to work on an incredible project for Kobe Bryant, that paid tribute to President Barack Obama. Here is the original icon/illustration I designed for a special edition color way of the Kobe 10 Elite to celebrate the "Commander" better known as President Barack Obama. The flower ties into Obama's hawaiian roots. The 2 seeds on the flower represent Obama's 2 terms in office, and the 5 petals represent Bryant's 5 NBA championships. When translated from latin, the phrase "historia est magistra vitae" means History is the Teacher of life.

This version of the logo was used on the apparel, but an alternate version was used on the footwear, using Kobe's existing logo as the primary focal point.
