Borrowing Inspiration From Movies

What do movies and web design have in common? Not a lot, while one is an artistic medium of expression with the goal to entertain, web design primary goal is to help users get something done. But that doesn't mean interface designers cannot borrow inspiration from the movies we see and bring that onto a digital screen. I've noticed a common pattern recently in movies that whenver it cuts away to a new location, the name of the location is plastered on screen covering the entire viewport, to me, its a striking effect that enhances the viewing experiences and explicitly calls out a change of ambience in the movie. So what if, websites with multiple locations would do something like they do in the movies? This is what it would look like and I do not dislike it at all...
