09/32 – Miami Pirates Uniforms

Behind the Stitches

While the bones spell tradition, the Pirates incorporate touches of flair in their threads.

The helmet features a green metallic flake on a dark sea green shell – the only helmet in the league with this effect. The primary logo is mirrored on both sides of the helmet with the bandana on the jolly roger flowing backwards with the motion of the player. A "Pirates" wordmark is located on both bumpers in two different styles.

The Pirates have three different uniform top options: dark sea green and black for home sets and white for the away. Each set dons the crossed-cutlass partial mark on the shoulders with a metallic gold thread adhering the mark. The jersey numbers adopt a similar look with a slight shine to make the gold fills in the green and black sets and the gold outline on the white set come alive.

For the three pant options (again dark sea green, white, and black), the gold fills and outlines on each stripe are reflective, making it feel metallic. The striping pattern on each follow the same mechanic of the jersey numbers (with the exception of the black set, which carries the same black and gold stripe from the white set).

The aforementioned jersey numbers compliment the team wordmarks with swashes and sword-like cuts that draw inspiration from old cartography and treasure maps, making it one of the more unique sets in the league.

These mockups were made with a modified and retextured Madden 20 on PC. The in-game screenshots were then used to create a composition in Photoshop.
