11/32 – New Orleans Claws Uniforms

Behind the Stitches

The New Orleans Claws double down on red with their uniform set.

Starting with the helmet – a white shell with the primary "Fleur de Claw" on either side with "Claws" and "New Orleans" on the front and back bumpers. A striping pattern of maroon-crimson-maroon, which is then encased with a silver stripe, runs down the center of the helmet.

Each jersey top incorporates a contrasting yoke – the crimson-based and white-based jerseys have a maroon yoke and the alternate maroon jersey has a crimson yoke. The sleeve cuffs feature two stripes that mirror the fill and stroke of the jersey numbers and the collar has a thin stripe to help with color balance. Each jersey sports the primary logo on either sleeve.

The pants extract the helmet stripe and split it in half, with the dominant crimson stripe always facing forward. The stripe colors change position for each base pant color to help balance the overall look.

The jersey number set revises a previously designed typeface to be slightly more condensed to enhance legibility on the uniform. Certain letterforms feature serifs and ball terminals that are geometrically cut to reinforce that athletic block feel while maintaining a distinct personality.

These mockups were made with a modified and retextured Madden 20 on PC. The in-game screenshots were then used to create a composition in Photoshop.
