Introducing: Air Lookout

Here goes nothing…

Air Lookout is an app to quickly find and understand air quality at your current location. It reads all of it’s data from the U.S. government’s EPA air quality stations across North America.

I’ve been designing and building this longer than I’d like to admit. I learned Swift and UIKit to make this app. It has been an amazing learning experience and full of all sorts of neat challenges. I’m sure there’s many more to come.

Shown here is a video capture of the app running on an iPhone 6. Everything shown is real data from the EPA air quality stations.

The colored background of the views will change based on the air quality rating. Further details on that later…

I’m glad to finally to the wraps off of Air Lookout. There’s a lot more to come.
