A short story behind the Fantasy

I want to share a story. When I was growing up in school in Ireland, I struggled with almost every subject, English, Math, Physics, Irish etc..I was at the bottom of every class, failing every test. But then there was Geography and Biology where I was the top student. Why? well because they were super visual. Their books were filled with gorgeous diagrams and large infographics. The teachers loved to draw not just talk. On reflection these days were the beginning of my design career which enabled me to start Fantasy

A few years ago we were given an excel file of hundreds of stats by the HISTORY channel. They were looking for a wikipedia style site for students around the US to utilize for their civil war education. What? A list of text? Nope! Let's do this slightly differently.

This GIF is a little except from that experience which was inducted into the US Library of Congress and used in History classes throughout America. The client and Fantasy received letters from Teachers around the US with gratitude. If we could reach and engage students like me through design it was a bucket list item i could happily tick off.
